by Teja Chedalla 5

Huawei launched the new Nova smartphone along with its Plus variant and the MediaPad M3 at the IFA 2016 show floor. Now the company has launched a new variant of the smartphone with 4GB of RAM. Yes, so we are looking at pretty much the same exact device, but the only noticeable difference being the RAM bump. The previously launched smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and the new one as mentioned earlier, comes with 4GB of RAM.

When you talk about other differences other than the RAM bump, the new variant which carries the model number CAZ-AL10 also offers support for the LTE-A carrier aggregation. This change will be noticeable on with the supported carriers which will allow users to get a download speed of upto 300Mbps. And as far as the pricing and availability go, we don’t have much info to reports, but there are reports stating that this particular variant is already up for sale in China. Stay tuned for more info on this.

Earlier – As teased earlier, Huawei launched two smartphones Huawei Nova and Nova Plus under the new Nova series. Huawei also unveiled its new latest tablet MediaPad M3 with high-end specifications in LTE and Wi-Fi only variants. Yesterday, the company also launched its mobile payment service Huawei Pay in China. Till date, the company used to sell the high-end smartphones under Mate and P series.

But the latest Nova smartphones fall under the mid-range category. This isn’t the first time we are seeing both these devices; earlier we had exclusively covered about the TENAA certification of Nexus 6P like device which is now launched as the Huawei Nova while the Huawei G9 Plus is internationally launched as Huawei Nova Plus. Both the devices come with Aluminum build bodies and includes a fingerprint sensor on the rear.
