HTC One X9 & Desire 628 with 3GB RAM & Android 6.0 Marshmallow Launched in India

Just after launching the Snapdragon 820 powered HTC 10 in India, HTC also launched the One X9 and Desire 628 smartphones for the Indian market. These are already available in few Southeast countries. In the second half of 2015, we have exclusively covered about the HTC One X9. After several rumors and leaks, the One X9 was officially launched in China in December last year and now, almost after five months after making it available in China, HTC has finally launched it in the Indian market.

HTC One X9

The HTC One X9 comes with a uni-build metal body and sports mid-end specifications. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display along with a Gorilla Glass protection on top. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. It has 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a MicroSD card slot for expanding upto 2TB. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and runs on HTC Sense 7.0 UI based on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

It sports a13MP rear camera with OIS & f/2.0 aperture that can record videos in 4K resolution. On the front, is the 5MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The cameras on this device support RAW captures that bring more controls to the camera app. The dual front-facing stereo speakers with HTC BoomSound and Dolby Audio can give some great experience on this device. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that is rated to give 15 hours of 3G talk time and 40 hours of music playback.

HTC Desire 628 (Dual SIM)

The Desire 628 is the latest mid-range smartphone from HTC. It comes with a polycarbonate body and the design of the device looks similar to the Desire 830 but comes with a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It runs on Andriod 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with latest Sense UI laid on top. Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The device includes 3GB of RAM and it is also the most affordable HTC device to offer such a high RAM.

There is 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via provided MicroSD card slot upto 2TB. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity. It has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP front camera with a f/2.4 aperture for selfies. The 2,200mAh battery keeps the device powered on and it also supports fast charging with the provided 5V/1.5A adapter. It measures 146.9 x 70.9 x 9.8 mm and weighs 142 grams.

Pricing & Availability

The One X9 is priced at Rs. 25,990 and will be available in stock from June 20th. On the other hand, the Desire 628 costs Rs. 13,990 and can be purchased starting from June 5th.
