In October 2015, Honor launched the mid-range Honor 5X as the successor for the popular Honor 4X in China. Almost after three months, the device was launched here in India along with Holly 2 Plus. Now the company might launch the Honor 5A and Honor 5A Plus as the successor for Honor 4A. The devices with the model numbers CUN-TL00, CAM-AL00 and CAM-CL00 are now certified by TENAA revealing the identity and the specifications.

The CAM-AL00 and CAM-CL00 are the same devices which are said to be retailed as Honor 5A Plus. The device comes with a polycarbonate body with a textured finish on the back. It comes with Gold, Black, and White color options. The device sports a 5.5-inch display and comes with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is an unknown octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

There is also a MicroSD for storage expansion upto 128GB. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the customized EMUI laid on top. The device features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that can easily last more than a day of mixed usage. It measures 154.3 x 77.1 x 8.45 mm and weighs 168 grams. The CAM-AL00 can be used with any network while the CAM-CL00 is only limited to China Telecom.

The other device on the list is the CUN-TL00, which is expected to be named as Honor 5A. It comes with a smaller 5-inch display but sports the same HD resolution. Along with Gold, White, and Black colors; the Honor 5A will be also available in Blue and Pink colors. The device will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It comes with same RAM and storage as Honor 5A Plus and features a MicroSD card slot as well.

While the primary camera with the 13MP sensor remains same as on Honor 5A Plus, the selfie camera on this device is only of 2MP resolution. Unlike the above mentioned device, the Honor 5A runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The device is backed by a 2,200mAh battery which is same as on the Honor 4A. It measures 143.8 x 72 x 8.9 mm and weighs 138 grams. It comes with dual SIM slots with 4G LTE and VoLTE support.

Apart from the volume rocker and power button, the Honor 5A also comes with an additional button which might for assigning any task as seen on Honor 7. As of now there is information about the launch date of both the devices. The Honor 5A is expected to be priced at 699 Yuan (approx $106 / Rs. 7,150) which makes it even more affordable than its predecessor. We will be updating once we got the official confirmation about these two devices.
