Gionee Launches S6 Pro Smartphone with 4GB RAM & First VR with Split Screen in India

Today Gionee, the Chinese smartphone maker has entered into the world of virtual reality with their stylish S6 Pro Smartphone that is accompanied by a 4GB of RAM. The device is launched in the country today and is priced at Rs 23,999. There would be a separate VR Headset available at a price of Rs 2,499. The S6 Pro would be available in two color variants, Gold and Rose Gold. It will go on sale starting 1st October across stores. Gionee launched the high-end Gionee S6 Pro in China in June this year. Now the device is available in India while the official announcement can be heard in the next few weeks. Recently the company also launched the Gionee S6s smartphone and announced Alia Bhatt as their brand ambassador. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with highly customized Amigo 3.2 UI laid on top.

The S6 Pro features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with a 2.5D glass laid on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It has 4GB of RAM which makes the multitasking much better when compared to S6S that includes only 3GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage while the S6s is only limited to 32GB. Both the variants include MicroSD card slot for further storage expansion.

In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter. The Gionee S6 Pro features a physical home button on the front that comes integrated with the fingerprint sensor. It is backed by a 3,130mAh non-removable battery which is slightly smaller than the 3,150mAh battery of Gionee S6s. It supports dual SIM dual Standby with the help of hybrid SIM slots where the users can choose between the secondary SIM or the MicroSD card slot.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The device measures 153 x 75.3 x 7.6 mm and weighs 150 grams. Gionee is also providing the screen guard and transparent back case within the package for free. As the device supports VoLTE, the Jio 4G SIM works perfectly on this device. Jio is also offering unlimited 4G data, voice calls, and SMS for free with the Jio Welcome Offer.
