How To Erase & Factory Data Reset your Yu Yutopia

Yu Yutopia Reset

Yu has recently launched a new flagship device, i.e., Yutopia. The brand has named it the most powerful device in the world as it comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. It has a 5.2-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass4 protection. The device comes with 4GB RAM and 32 GB as its internal storage and can be expanded to 128GB using an external micro SD card.

If you are using the device and feel like switch or upgrading to the most latest device then always remember to factory reset your device before you resale it or give to others for use. There are two ways in which you can factory reset your device; one is the soft reset, and the other is hard reset. Soft-rest of the device is a simple process, and you can follow the steps mentioned below to soft reset your device.

Soft Reset

Step 1: Open the settings and tap on Back-up & reset in the system section.

Step 2: In the Backup & Reset Window, tap on Factory Data rest option that is at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: If you want to delete all the data on your device tap on the check box adjacent to Erase store data and click on Reset Phone.

Step 4: If you have set any password for your device then it will ask for you to enter the pin to proceed further.

Step 5: Once the password id entered, a new pop-up appears with a final confirmation for the reset. Now tap on the RESET NOW button on the pop-up.

The device restarts and clear’s the data on your device and reboots as if you are booting it for the first time and would be ready for use again.

Hard Reset

Hard reset is process where the data once lost cannot be retrieved on your device as the data will be formatted from the recovery window. You can follow the below-mentioned steps to Reset your device.

Step 1: If your device is On then switch it off by pressing the power button firmly.

Step 2: Once the device is off, You need to press the power button along with volume down button firmly until the device restarts and opens the Recovery mode.

Step 3: In the recover window, click on Wipe Data/Factory reset to factory reset your device.

Step 4: In the new window, click on the yes option to wipe the data on your device.

The data is erased from your device, and it will reboot as if you are booting the device for the first time.

Note:
Always remember to backup the Data available on your device because the data cannot be retrieved back once the device is formatted.
