Coolpad Roar Plus has been spotted on the official page of Coolpad. Priced at 2,299,000 VND (approx $103) the Roar Plus will be available in Vietnam, and there is no information on the global roll out. This entry-level device will be the successor of Coolpad Roar that was launched last year in the month of November. Coolpad Max and Coolpad Note 3 are few devices from the company which has good recognition. The device will be competing against devices like Lenovo Vibe K5, Swipe Elite Plus, Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime and Asus Zenfone Go.
Under the hood, there is a MediaTeK MT67359 quad-core processor coupled with 1.0GHz coupled with Mali T720MP2 and 1 GB of RAM. The screen size of the Roar Plus is 5-inch with HD IPS LCD screen that gives a pixel density of 294 PPI. Out of the box, the device comes with Android 6.0 marshmallow Operating system with CoolUI v8.0 on top.
Coming to the camera front, the Roar Plus comes with 8 MP autofocus camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and also has flash support with features like HDR, Panorama, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, face detection, Pro-Mode ISO, aperture, white balance and Panorama. There is a secondary 2 MP camera on the front for selfies. The handset supports LTE connectivity on both the SIM slots and has connectivity options like WLAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0 GPS and A-GPS.
Sensors like Proximity sensor, Light sensor, and Acceleration sensor are available on the device. There is a 2000 mAh battery on the back to power this device and comes with 8GB of internal memory that can be extended up to 32GB via microSd card. The Roar Plus will be available in Black and white variants, but nothing about the release date is mentioned yet.
