BLU, which was headquartered in Miami, Florida has its presence felt in over 40 countries with its unlocked smartphones. Now the company has entered the Indian smartphone market along with five other European markets with two Windows Phone 8.1 devices.
In India, the devices will be available exclusively through Snapdeal, while in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK; they will be available exclusively on Amazon.
In the recent times, we have many smartphones companies are launching their device in India and almost all of them are the Android powered devices. Apart from Microsoft no other manufacturer had focused on Windows Phone devices.
The Blu Win JR LTE and Win HD LTE are the two devices launched, as the name suggests both the devices offers 4G LTE. Coming to the specifications, both the smartphones share almost same hardware except the display and camera.
The Win JR LTE comes with 4.5-inch FWVGA (854×480) display while the Win HD LTE has a larger 5-inch HD (1280×720) display. Both the devices feature the same 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
There is an 8 GB of internal storage with a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 32GB. The Win JR LTE has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and VGA front camera, and the Win HD LTE has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera.
Interestingly the Win JR LTE with 2,000mAh battery, measures 9.5mm thick and weighs 138 grams while the Win HD LTE though sporting a bigger 2,500mAh battery is just 8.2mm thick and weighs only 136 grams. Both the devices run on Windows Phone 8.1 and are qualified to upgrade for Windows 10.
The Win JR LTE comes in the colors – white, yellow, grey, orange, and pink and the Win HD LTE is available in white, yellow, grey, and orange colors. Blu had priced both the Win JR LTE and Win HD LTE at Rs.5,999 and Rs.7,999 respectively.
