Asus Launches Zenfone 3, Deluxe, Ultra & Laser in India, Price Starts from Rs 18,999

As we said earlier, Asus launched their latest smartphones Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 LaserZenfone 3 Deluxe, and Zenfone 3 Ultra in India. Just like Zenfone 2 series, the Zenfone 3 devices also come in several variants. All the devices run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based ZenUI 2.0. Apart from Zenfone 3 smartphones, the company also unveiled Zenbook 3 and Transformer 3 Pro laptops in India. All these devices are first showcased at the Computex 2016 held in Taiwan in May. Unlike many other devices, all the Zenfone 3 devices will be available across all the leading online and offline stores.

Asus Zenfone 3 – Rs. 21,999 & Rs. 27,999

The Zenfone 3 comes with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection on front and back. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor built on 14nm architecture and coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The ZE520KL variant comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD Display with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage whereas the ZE552KL sports a slightly larger 5.5-inch Full HD Display and includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

In the camera department, there is a 16MP rear camera with 6P lens and f/2.0 aperture that can record videos at 4K resolution. The TriTech autofocus combining the laser autofocus, OIS and EIS can capture images in just 0.3 seconds. The rear camera lens of the Zenfone 3 is protected by Sapphire glass. On the front is an 8MP camera. It is backed by a 3,000mAh that can easily last more than a day of usage.

Asus Zenfone 3 Laser – Rs. 18,999

Unlike the Zenfone 3, the Zenfone 3 Laser comes with metal body with curved edges. It comes only in one variant and features 5.5-inch Full HD display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 on top. It is powered by the Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, the Xiaomi Redmi 3S priced at Rs. 6,999 also comes with the same processor. There is 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.

The fingerprint sensor sits below the rear camera. It includes a 13MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and laser-assisted autofocus. For selfies, the Zenfone 3 Laser offers an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The 3,000mAh battery keeps the device powered on at least for a single day of usage. The device measures a 149 x 76 x 7.9 mm and weighs 150 grams.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe – Rs. 49,999 & Rs. 62,999

Asus launched the Zenfone 2 Deluxe with 256GB of storage in 2015 and apart from that, there is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion upto additional 128GB. Now in 2016, Zenfone 3 Deluxe was launched with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD resolution. Under the hood, the device is powered by Snapdragon 820/821 quad-core processor along with 6GB of RAM.

The SD820 variant includes 64GB of storage while the SD 821 variant comes with a 256GB of storage.  It has a 23MP rear camera with 4-axis OIS along with dual LED flash, while on the front is an 8MP front camera with wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. Just like Zenfone 3 devices, it is also dual SIM 4G supported devices and sports a fingerprint sensor. The device is powered by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra – Rs. 49,999

With the Zenfone 3 Ultra, Asus also entered the phablet segment with the Zenfone series. It comes with a huge 6.8-inch Full HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. It competes with the Xiaomi Mi Max which features a 6.44-inch display. Unlike the Zenfone 3 devices, the Zenfone 3 Ultra has the fingerprint on the front, embedded into the physical home button.

It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. The device comes with the same set of camera sensors as on the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, i.e., 23MP rear camera + 8MP front camera. With such a large form factor, the device includes a 4,600mAh battery which also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. The device measures 186.4 x 93.9 x 6.8 mm and weigh 233 grams.
