Today is the iDay as Apple unveiled their latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus including announced the availability of iOS 10. You might have read our live coverage about the Apple event as well as seen the hangout during the event itself.

If you are waiting for to find which Apple iPhone should you choose, we were working on a comparison between iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Many consumers must be wondering which device should they choose. Check out the detailed specs comparison between the little and big iPhones.

The main difference between these handsets are the size, as Apple iPhone 7 sports a compact design while the iPhone 7 Plus is for people who are looking for an entertainment package on the go such as viewing videos. It is obvious that iPhone 7 Plus would be heavier and have thicker body when compared to iPhone 7. The reason to move on from 3.5mm jack to lightning cable was courage as stated by company officials. Note that both iPhones have removed the 3.5mm jack.

There is a Retina HD display on the iPhone 7, while it’s Full HD on the iPhone 7 Plus. Moreover, the little sibling comes with a 4.7-inch display, while the big sibling has a 5.5-inch display. The new display is 25% brighter and have wide color gamut. Do make a note that iPhone 7 Plus comes with larger pixel density of 401 PPI compared to 326 PPI on iPhone 7.

These both iPhones packs A10 Fusion Quad-core chipset, which now clocks at 2.14GHz. The first two cores are high-functioning cores, a they offer performance, while the other two cores are for high-efficiency. Apple has achieved this by designing a performance controller, which allows the system to understand when the phone needs performance or efficiency. The company touts the GPU performance as both of these handsets offers editing on Adobe Pro tools with RAW content.

Both the devices would be coming up with iOS 10 on the device as it is released today by company. Earlier announced at the WWDC event in June this year. The new iOS features includes redesigned lock screen, rich notifications as well as expanded 3D Touch. And the fact that SIRI is now open for Developers makes it interesting for both iPhones as the features would be literally same on these two new handsets from the Cupertino company. Expect some improvements in apps such as Apple News, Apple Music, Apple Maps and Apple Home apps. As well as couple changes to Phone app and Messages.

Talking about the cameras on both handsets, the iPhone 7 Plus is one step ahead than iPhone 7, it’s little sibling. The main reason that iPhone 7 Plus would attract is the 12MP dual-rear camera setup, where one is a telephoto lens and another one is a wide-angle lens. Using wide angle lens and telephoto combination, it can 2X optical zoom, which is the hardware zoom, while it can be pushed up to 10X for software zoom .There’s no doubt that new iPhone 7 also has an all new 12MP module with f/1.8 aperture and Apple-built ISP (Image Processor).

We believe if you are looking for an entertainment package and doing gaming a lot on your handset, the iPhone 7 Plus is the right choice, while if you’re into more compact experiences, then iPhone 7 is the choice that you should go with. There are number of reasons you can look for in this specs comparison of the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
