Amazon changed the face of online shopping in a way. Whenever you think about online shopping, the first retailer you think about is Amazon. And then there are various others as well who later on joined in and are now offering same or better service. But Amazon continued to stay on top with their wide range of offering. Other than the thousands of usual products online, they also introduced their own offerings like Kindle e-readers and e-books.
The company has now decided to further expand their offline sales of these e-books. They launched their first physical bookstore last year. And now they have recently announced plans to launch pop-up stores that will be located in various malls across the U.S. As of now; the company has launched over 20 stores, and this number will further increase to around 100 in 2017. The company is now looking for employees to man these locations.
Amazon’s website mentions that there will be ‘Amazon Experts’ in store to show visitors how these devices will work. They will help consumers to find the appropriate products according to their needs. These stores will have more products than just e-books. They will are meant to advertise and sell company’s hardware products as well such as the Kindle e-books, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo, Dash buttons and much more. So essentially consumers will get a hands-on experience will all of these products.
This is a good initiative by the company as it will allow users to at least get to know what these products are all about and then decide for themselves whether or not they want to purchase them. So if you wanted to try the devices before jumping to a conclusion, then that’s where you need to be. As of now, we don’t know where these stores will be set-up, however stay tuned for more info this as we will update once we have more details on this.
